From Rachel's Kitchen: Homemade Basil Limeade

Found this recipe in an old Anthropologie Newspaper
and decided to give it a whirl.

It's the perfect day for this refreshing drink [!]

Ingredients:
1. Basil
2. (2-3) Lime
3. (1) Lemon
4. (1) Cup Basil Simple Syrup (Don't fear - I'll tell you how to make it!)
5. 2 1/2 cups water
6. Ice

Directions:
1. Squeeze 1/2 cup of lime juice. Set aside.
2. Squeeze 1/4 cup of lemon juice. Set aside.
3. For basil simple syrup: Bring sugar and water to a boil in a small saucepan. Add 1 cup lightly packed basil and stir to dissolve sugar. Remove from heat and let steep for 15 minutes. Pour syrup through a sieve, discarding basil. Set aside and let cool before using.
4. In a pitcher, combine lime juice, lemon juice, and basil syrup. Stir well and combine with water.

Yields 4 refreshing glasses!

Mix well, add some basil leaves, and garnish with a lime!

Puckering good!

Enjoy,
Rach
