Today we celebrate ourselves
and all the strong women in our lives!
This one's for the girls!
What the heck is
International Women's Day?
It's about WOMAN!
Duh!
From Wikipedia -eh hem, a very reputable source
(that's a joke):
"International Women's Day (IWD), originally called International Working Women's Day, is marked onMarch 8 every year.[1] In different regions the focus of the celebrations ranges from general celebration of respect, appreciation and love towards women to a celebration for women's economic, political and social achievements. Started as a Socialist political event, the holiday blended in the culture of many countries, primarily Eastern Europe, Russia, and the former Soviet bloc. In some regions, the day lost its political flavor, and became simply an occasion for men to express their love for women in a way somewhat similar to a mixture of Mother's Day and Valentine's Day. In other regions, however, the political and human rights theme designated by the United Nations runs strong, and political and social awareness of the struggles of women worldwide are brought out and examined in a hopeful manner."

Umm, in case you haven't
noticed, even Google is celebrating!

Side Note: Those are all women's faces?!?
(Mmm.... debatable!)
Make sure you go home,
kiss your wife,
kiss your daughter,
kiss your girlfriend,
kiss your girl friend,
kiss your mom,
kiss your grandmother,
kiss your aunt,
kiss your...
you get the point.
Kiss the woman or women in your life
and let them know you appreciate them.
We're a pretty amazing species.
Can't live with us. Can't kill us!
(Another joke)
But seriously, appreciate us.
xo,
Rachel
