Marshalls/TJ Maxx/Homegoods are such fun stores to shop

 because you never know what you'll find -

you can leave empty handed

or feel like you've hit the jackpot!

 Sometimes I go out shopping on a mission

 (with a list of items I'd like jotted down)

 but my FAVORITE way to shop is 

aimlessly wandering the aisles 

with a latte in hand, looking for a great buy!

It's kind of like treasure hunting...

My easy, bad-weather, zero-effort 'Do!

Hope you're all having a great weekend!

Last week, I filmed this video when we had lots and lots of rain.

It was gross out.

I was tired.

I personally feel all work should be cancelled 

on days when the suns not shining

(honestly, who wants to leave the house or look presentable

when its pouring out?)

but unfortunately not only did I still have to

 report to my employer,

I had to look cute.

Super tough.

This video resulted because its my 

super easy, go-to hairdo 

when its either humid or raining

and you want to put in minimal effort.

July 2014 Faves

Ahhh, it's August!

Can't believe its time for a July 2014 faves list

because that means July is over

and we are almost through the summer!

I don't have that 'summer time sadness' just yet,

 because August is my birthday month,

so there is fun to be had before the summer's out---

but I just can't believe August is here.

Ulta Haul - July 2014

Hope July is treating you all well.

Can it really be we are half way through already?

Where the heck is the summer going?

I have so many more things I want to do 

before the weather changes...

Anyways ---

I've been working like a dog,

and so the only really way to make me feel better about

losing my weekends to a second job 

is to burn a little money on Monday

when I have the day to myself.

I am a self-confessed

beauty addict,

so when I go to Ulta

it's like an adult Toys R Us.

For women.

I've been pretty naughty these last few months,

but summer is my time for frivalous purchases 

because come Fall, I'll be broke again 

when I lose my summer job.

Better late than never,

here are my November retail favorites....

1. Loving this Victoria Secret pink leopard bra. Meow! :)

2. 'After Midnight' is the newest to Victoria Secrets perfume collection - and the scent is now available in both candle and oil form...oh, boy! ;)

3. I have an obsession with both polka dots and bows, so naturally I fell in love with this little  ring. So cute.

4. This adorable sparkly gold romper almost made it to my closet - I came close to buying it for Thanksgiving, but opted for another look. I still want it though! 

5. I stumbled on Lucius via Spotify and am loving all her music. I loved "Turn It Around" so much I actually made it my background blog song. Check her out!

6. Tis the season for cold hands and warm hearts, but you can warm them slightly with a pair of cutesy hand gloves for driving (I don't think thats against the rules). Nothing is worse than holding a cold steering wheel on your morning commute to work! 

7. I made Apple Cider Sangria for Thanksgiving dinner this year and it was so amazing. Its on my Pinterest if you're interested in making it on your own. I highly recommend it.

8. This iPhone cover was made for me. End of story.

9. Who doesn't love a leopard pair of Betsey Johnson boots? I love booties this time of year - throw on a sexy pair of pantyhose and these booties and Vavoom! Instant kitten status. Who said you need to dress like a grandma in cold weather? Not on my watch!

10. Lush can do no wrong in my book - check out their line Juicy. It caters to those with oily hair (which is not a problem I have) but can be used on all hair types and smells great. Win/win!
